Benefits of Venetian Blinds

Venetian blinds offer many of the same benefits as vertical blinds, such as excellent light control, privacy, and aesthetic appeal. But they have additional advantages:

  1. Reduced Glare: The horizontal slats offer more precise light control, which reduces glare and creates a softer ambiance.
  2. Easy Maintenance: Venetian blinds don’t require dusting like other window treatments. You only need a damp cloth or vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment.
  3. Unobstructed View: Unlike vertical blinds, Venetian blinds won’t interfere with your view when fully raised. This feature is especially beneficial for rooms with expansive windows or French doors.
  4. Space Saving: Open Venetian blinds stack more compactly than many other window treatments.
  5. Versatility: Our blinds come in various sizes, colors, and materials, making them easy to customize for any space.
  6. Cost-Effective: Venetian blinds are among the most affordable window treatments.
  7. Child and Pet Safety: Cordless or motorized options protect children and pets.

Motorizing Your Blinds

Motorization adds convenience and enhances safety, allowing you to adjust your blinds remotely, via voice command, or according to a schedule.

We use Lutron motorization systems, whose products are known for their ease of use and durability.

  • Lutron Sivoia QED (Quiet Electronic Drive): A headrail-integrated system with a 2.4GHz RF radio frequency, enabling cordless operation and remote control of the blinds.
  • Lutron Sivoia QS: This motorized system is quiet and powerful, allowing easy operation with a wall switch or remote control. It also offers child-safe features.
  • Lutron System Integration: All Lutron motorized systems can be integrated into other automated home systems.

Customizing Your Materials

  • Metal: Aluminum Venetian blinds are lightweight and durable. They’re resistant to moisture and are often used in kitchens and bathrooms. Steel Venetian blinds offer a sleek, modern appearance and withstand heavier use.
  • Wood: Venetian blinds come in basswood, oak, cherry, and bamboo, among other woods, and can be stained or painted to match your decor.
  • Faux Wood: Faux wood blinds are made from composite materials that mimic the appearance of natural wood. They’re more affordable than genuine wood blinds and are moisture-resistant, making them suitable for humid environments.
  • Vinyl: Vinyl Venetian blinds are affordable, easy to clean, and available in various colors and patterns. They’re a popular choice for commercial spaces and high-moisture areas.
  • Fabric: Fabric or cloth blinds have a softer look, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
  • Bamboo: Woven bamboo Venetian blinds offer a natural and eco-friendly option with a light and airy feel.
  • Solar: Solar Venetian blinds are designed to reflect the sun’s rays away from your windows, keeping your interior cool during summer.

These are just a few of the materials available to you. We invite you to our Los Angeles showroom to discuss your needs and options.
