Top-Down Bottom-Up Shades
You can open them up or open them down.
Top-down bottom-up shades are adjustable from the top or bottom, giving you more precise light and privacy control than standard roller shades.
When lowered from the top, they’re almost like cafe shutters, admitting natural light above while protecting you from prying eyes below.
When raised from the bottom, they function like traditional shades, allowing sunlight to enter through the entire window while keeping your view clear.
How Do Top-Down Bottom-Up Shades Work?
- Top-down bottom-up shades have two movable rails — one at the bottom (like standard shades) and an additional rail at the top. Both can move independently, enabling operation from the top or bottom.
- Corded versions have two cords, one to move the top rail and one for the bottom. Cordless versions can be adjusted by simply pushing or pulling the rails.
- Motorized top-down bottom-up shades can be controlled with a button press.
